Introducing Floot Forward

Floot Forward is a new program by Floot Fire Inc. to help get instruments into the hands of disadvantaged schools and students. There are three way in which we deliver instruments:

Free Flute Cases/Harvey Relief

Schools or individuals can apply.
Beneficiaries are chosen by need based merit and as supplies last.
Cases become the property of the recipient. All repairs are at owner’s expense.

Donated Flutes

Only schools may apply.
Beneficiaries are chosen by need based merit.
Applicants may receive a limit of 1 donated instrument per year.
Instruments become the property of the school. All repairs are at owner’s expense.

Low Cost Flutes for Sale

Schools and individuals may apply.
Beneficiaries are chosen by need based merit.
Schools or persons applying for these instruments will be able to purchase the instrument at a below market value price.
Schools may receive a limit of 2 low cost instruments per year.
Individuals purchasing instruments for personal use can receive a limit of 1 low cost instrument per year and may not be eligible for application in subsequent years.
Individual applicant purchasing instruments on behalf of private students or other entities can receive a limit of 1 low cost instrument per year but will be eligible for application the year following.
Instruments become the property of the purchaser. All repairs are at owner’s expense.

Loaner Flutes

Individuals majoring in music at a university, conservatory, or two-year college may apply.
Students must be enrolled in private lessons and an ensemble (large or small).
Students must be working towards the completion of a music degree (music performance, music education, music therapy, music business, etc.)
Beneficiaries are chosen by need and merit.
