Floot Fire Summer Camps (in person)

Floot Fire workshops are a life changing experience for students in grades 2-adult who love the flute! We offer unique opportunities for flutists to work with world-class faculty and perform with like-minded people who are dedicated and driven to be the best.

Virtual Floot Academy

The Virtual Floot Academy is a class specifically designed for student flutists in grades 2-12. We offer masterclass, electives, and daily faculty recitals! There is no required level of playing, just a genuine love for the flute and a desire to improve.

  • VFA1: June 28-July 2, 2021 
  • VFA2: July 5-9, 2021   
  • VFA3: July 12-16, 2021    

Virtual Floot Inferno

Floot Inferno is a class specifically designed for adult flutists! This event is open to all college students, adult amateurs, teachers, and professional musicians. Come as you are, ready to learn. There is no required level of playing, just a genuine love for the flute and a desire to improve. Floot Inferno is an uplifting and  positive learning environment for all types of flutists!

Virtual Soloist Competition

The Virtual Soloist Competition is for everyone!! Flutists of all ages and all levels can participate!

  • Recorded Entry Due: April 30, 2021

Claire Johnson Flute Soloist Competition

The Claire Johnson Flute Soloist Competition honors excellence in flute performance and artistry in music making. The competition is open to all flutists through grade 12.

  • Preliminary Recorded Round: June 19, 2021
  • Final Round (Live Recorded): July 17, 2021
