Are you interested in working at Floot Fire? Do you live near one of our current workshops? Floot Fire is currently hiring Faculty, Junior Faculty, and Volunteers for the upcoming summer sessions.

We believe wholeheartedly in supporting musical communities and strengthening bonds between local flutists and educators. Therefore, with rare exception, we only hire teachers within a commutable distance from our workshops.

 

 

Faculty

Our faculty typically have completed music degrees and have several years of professional teaching and/or performing experience. We value the expertise of all types of flutists and look for a variety of types of faculty members: orchestral players, university professors, private teachers, band directors, flute choir directors, etc.

Faculty duties include: recruiting for the workshop, teaching masterclasses and/or electives, coaching ensembles, conducting flute choir, performing on faculty recitals (as appropriate), etc.

 

Junior Faculty

Junior faculty are undergrad and graduate music students.

Junior Faculty duties include: recruiting for the workshop, coaching ensembles, assisting electives classes, assisting flute choir rehearsals, setting up rooms, serving as stage crew, moving boxes, making copies, administrative work, etc.

 

Volunteers

Volunteers are adults or high school students.

Volunteer duties may include: assisting electives classes, assisting flute choir rehearsals, setting up rooms, serving as stage crew, moving boxes, making copies, administrative work, etc.
